Me on the balcony in Cork: photo Allan Prosser

My name is Josephine Fenton and I came to Cork from London to study for an MA in Irish Writing and Film at University College Cork. I have called this blog Corkucopia because Cork is a cornucopia of culture. Her gifts are copious and continuous.  I love living right in the city centre and walking to the pretty campus.  I get, almost daily, invitations to extra seminars and workshops at the university and then return home where the cafés, cinema and theatre are on my doorstep.  But I also venture out to the other counties and have even been to the North.  As to GAA, I think I understand the rules but, when all is said and done, I was born in Chelsea. So, occasionally I will miss something as I am at Stamford Bridge.
